Our
mission is to protect and improve the environment. We work in
partnership with others to help society understand one of the most
critical challenges it faces in the 21st century – the transition from
today’s unsustainable economic and industrial activities to more
sustainable production and consumption patterns.
We
celebrated our 20th Anniversary with a consultation on 21st
Century Values at Work, aimed to take this agenda forward by:

knowledge and experience about values-related activities

back at what we have learned over the last 20 years and examining how
we can apply these lessons over the next 20 years

the key challenges and responses needed by the crucial agencies

Charity
Commission win
The Environment Foundation has won a four year battle with the Charity
Commission. For the first time, the promotion of sustainable
development is now a charitable purpose in its own right and the
Environment Foundation have been featured in the Commission's Annual
Report.
